Holding a Masters in Business Economics from HEC Paris and a degree in sociology, François Victor has over 30 years of experience in the evaluation of public tourism policies, tourism marketing and the use of digital technology, both in France and abroad. François Victor began his career as an economist at BIPE, where he worked in particular on developing the Comptes du Tourisme de la France (1987-1988). Having worked as an independent tourism consultant (in charge of work on investments for the French Tourism Directorate in particular), he moved to Détente Consultants as a senior consultant in 1999.
He joined Horwath HTL France as a Partner when the firm was founded in 2006. In 2020, Horwath HTL France became Voltere (member of the Egis Group), and François Victor continues to bring his expertise to the following areas:
- Assessment of public tourism policies
- Marketing of tourist destinations, using an approach combining strategic thinking and digital technologies
- Analysis of economic impacts linked to tourism
- Design / implementation of economic monitoring systems
