Tourism and Leisure
France
Lucile is a consultant for Voltere by Egis’ Tourism & Leisure Consultancy business.
Academic background
Lucile holds a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and Project Engineering from the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris 3), as well as a double degree in Economics and Law from the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE). This multi-disciplinary training has enabled her to acquire a broad vision of project set-up and management, incorporating the new challenges of tourism development; she is writing a university dissertation on this subject, entitled ‘Public aid for tourism development: France’s involvement in promoting sustainable tourism’.
Career path
After an initial experience with Voltere in 2021 and a year with a cultural and tourism engineering firm, she joined Voltere in 2024 as a tourism and leisure consultant. As part of this role, she took part in a number of strategic assignments, including developing regional strategies for various local authorities, market and feasibility studies for tourist and cultural facilities, and regional marketing strategies. She has significant experience of working with local authorities (communities of communes and conurbations), which are increasingly involved in tourism development and aware of the importance of tourism for the region and its inhabitants. Consultation is an important part of her approach, with the aim of proposing jointly-constructed projects that take into account the challenges of environmental transition and public acceptance. She also applies her skills to the processing and analysis of economic statistical data to study the impact of tourism projects. She works mainly in France (mainland and overseas, particularly La Réunion) and Africa.
